ABOUT TANISHA D

A law graduate from Kingston University London, and a Legal Practice Course (LPC) Diploma holder from BPP Law School London. Having sampled the driven, entrepreneurial and exciting atmosphere that exists at law firms through work placements and from open days, there was only one choice when deciding on a career as Law. I am attracted by the professionalism, the prestige and the challenge of working for business clients within the legal spectrum and wanted to be aware of how the legal system runs as well as playing an active part in contributing to the changes in the legal world and its impact on different areas of commercial sector. My work experience and extracurricular activities demonstrates my ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively when reaching set goals. For example, I organised and managed the Kingston University Law Society by being the Vice- President for two consecutive years where I pursued my LLB. In my second year at University I participated in the ‘Street Law’ pro bono competition organised by the College of Law. The Street Law project that I was involved in targeted school children from the age of 8-16, attempting to give insight into the law with the aim of raising aspirations as well as increasing knowledge about the law in broader terms.
