My service-oriented journey began with an apron, a notepad, and a smile in my rural hometown of Dublin, Georgia. As a teenager working as a Huddle House server and then later as a sales associate at Belk Matthews, I learned the value of consistency, community, and care. Those early experiences shaped my leadership philosophy: leading is another form of serving.From the diner to the boardroom, I’ve built a mission-driven career rooted in service, strategy, and results. As a Unit Manager at Waffle House, I learned how to motivate teams, manage high-pressure operations, and turn challenges into opportunities. That foundation led me into the worlds of membership development, nonprofit leadership, and organizational growth.I bring 10+ years of progressive executive experience across the nonprofit, community, and hospitality sectors—building high-impact, equity-focused programs that serve youth, families, and underserved communities. I’m known for aligning strategic vision with operational execution, leading cross-functional teams, and fostering collaborative partnerships with funders, board members, restauranteurs, and community stakeholders.In 2019, I founded the Georgia Hospitality & Foodservice Network to help restaurant owners and operators thrive during COVID-19 industry disruption. Before that, I served as Senior Membership Development Executive at the Georgia Restaurant Association, which represented restaurants across Georgia and I drove membership growth, retention, and engagement among franchises, airport concessionaires, and independent operators.Most recently, I served as Director of Communications & Member Relations at the Federation of Southern Cooperatives/Land Assistance Fund, a regional cooperative association supporting Black farmers, landowners, and cooperatives across the Southern U.S. I led communications strategy, digital platforms, membership expansion, and stakeholder engagement—elevating the voices of rural communities and deepening the organization’s impact.Across every chapter of my journey, I lead with empathy, clarity, and purpose. Whether I’m scaling a membership program, coordinating an annual event, writing an annual report, or mentoring a team—I focus on building systems that work, telling stories that move people, and making connections that strengthen both communities and organizations.Onward!

   I ensure the Federation is viewed as the primary source, disseminator, and conduit of information within its diverse network and membership base - including, but not limited to, black farmers and landowners, cooperatives, and rural communities in the south.Report directly to the Executive Director and responsible for developing and guiding the strategy for all communications, website, social media, and public relations messages and collateral to consistently articulate the organization\'s vision and mission.Work closely with the Federation\'s Executive Staff and within the organization as their communications partner on a variety of strategic initiatives, including membership engagement, tracking, and development.
