About Tanay Gupta
I am a final-year Computer Engineering student at Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU), graduating in May 2026, with a strong passion for building technology that creates real-world impact.With a foundation in engineering and a mindset shaped by business strategy and global economics, I approach problems not just from a “how to build” perspective, but from a “why it matters” lens. I am deeply interested in how emerging technologies reshape finance, trade, and global systems.Currently, I work as an AI Engineering Intern at SmartDukaan, where I am developing an automated Document Verification pipeline using Python and FastAPI. My work focuses on building scalable microservices that enable real-time credential validation, replacing slow and manual processes with efficient, reliable systems.Beyond industry work, I actively engage in research and innovation. I authored and presented the paper “Digital BRICS: Toward a Decentralized Financial Future” at the 4th International BRICS RI Conference, exploring the role of decentralized technologies in global economic frameworks. As Team Lead for Veritrade, I led the development of a decentralized export verification platform leveraging Blockchain and AI agents to ensure transparency and data integrity in international trade.I consider myself an engineer with a business mindset driven by curiosity in geopolitics, decentralized finance, and digital transformation. My goal is to apply my skills in AI, Data Science, and Backend Engineering to solve complex problems at the intersection of technology, finance, and global commerce.I am always open to collaborating on impactful projects and exploring opportunities where technology meets strategy.
