Working as a project managing consultant on ecological matters for a variety of clients ranging from small privately directed projects to large government lead and country wide infrastructure programmes. I specialise in the ecology of Bats, Badgers and landscape ecology. Supervising contractors, writing ecological reports, preparing client tenders and advising clients in their ecological survey and mitigation needs. As well as specialising in protected species I am developing my skills in biodiversity net gain calculations and have begun working on a number of BNG projects across the UK whilst at Thomson. These calculations provide a base line biodiversity value for parcels of land and can be used to mathematically assess the impact of various enhancement strategies on the site\'s overall biodiversity value.Project managing ecological contracts for large and influential clients means that I am familiar working under framework agreements and adhering to our clients HSE needs.Line Managing:I am a line manager for Assistant ecologists associated with our Birmingham branch. Involving initiation and fulfilment of my line managees\' on boarding process, approving hours, expenses, absences and training, and providing support during monthly 1:1 meetings.Equipment Manager:My additional title and role as Equipment Manager involves the monitoring of all survey equipment. Ensuring it is in good quality, serviced and accounted for when used by members of the team.
