ABOUT TAMMY MARTINS
I bring a unique perspective, shaped by leading large-scale transformation in both healthcare and financial services – mission-driven industries where strategy execution, operational excellence, trust, and governance are critical to serving communities. I have more than 20 years of leadership experience across financial services, healthcare, and manufacturing. In my current role as Chief Experience & Operations Officer at Affinity Credit Union, I lead a broad portfolio including operations, payments, data governance, member experience, marketing, communications, community involvement, and the project management office. I am directly accountable to our Board of Directors, regularly reporting on balanced scorecard performance, membership risk, and strategy execution. My experience includes leading the amalgamation of two divisions into a single Member Experience & Operations division, building a project management office to drive execution of a three-year strategic plan, and overseeing major cross-functional initiatives that align operations with long-term strategy. Earlier in my career, I served as Executive Director of Quality & Safety for the Saskatchewan Health Authority during COVID-19, where I helped guide complex, high-stakes public health decisions under intense public and political scrutiny. In addition to executive leadership, I serve as a director on the board of the Saskatoon Friendship Inn and previously on the board of Haven\'s Kids House (formerly Saskatoon Crisis Nursery). These experiences, along with years of effective interaction with Affinity\'s board, have given me valuable perspective from both sides of the boardroom table. I am passionate about continuous learning, inclusive governance, and building resilient organizations that create lasting community impact.
