About Tammy Ngo

I\'m passionate about designing life-science facilities for their life-saving power, so I became a mechanical engineer designing HVAC systems for these facilities. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I had my first experience with energy modeling for LEED compliance for a sixteen-floor core-and-shell lab office building. I started as the greenest member of the project\'s energy team, gained valuable skills, and finalized it independently.Given the energy-intensive nature of laboratories, I want to minimize their environmental impact while preserving production capacity. This commitment led me to pursue my master\'s in Sustainable Building Systems at Northeastern University (NU), where I embraced a diverse curriculum in building systems, environmental policies, architecture, etc. I also served as co-president of the NU Sustainable Building Organization (NUSBO) to connect students, educators, and professionals in the field of sustainable buildings. My journey has shaped my skills in energy modeling, sustainable design, and HVAC systems. I\'ve cultivated problem-solving and communication skills in dynamic and interdisciplinary settings. I\'m also dedicated to continuous learning, adaptation, and innovation to elevate efficiency and quality.
