Tammy is passionate about making housing affordable to Virginians in a way that is inclusive, strengthens communities and addresses housing needs along the affordability spectrum. Beginning her career at Virginia Housing as a post-closing paralegal in 1985, Tammy has since played a key role in shaping VH’s strategic direction and implementing its vision and priorities. Over the years she has held numerous roles in Homeownership, Process Excellence, and Strategic Planning. In she rose to the executive level as Managing Director of Human Resources, Managing Director and Chief Learning Officer, Chief of Staff, Chief of Programs and was appointed CEO by the Virginia Board of Commissioners early 2024.In addition to her professional accomplishments at Virginia Housing, Tammy is a wife, mother to three adult children and enjoys doting on her three grandchildren.
