I’ve built my leadership experience in the field of voluntary certification, working over 13 years with organizations that provide market incentives to landowners and companies for meeting standards that protect sustainable livelihoods and natural resources. While I started this work in forest product supply chains, I easily adapted to working across other sectors, including agriculture, tourism, carbon and biomass. My passion comes from mentoring people and building teams that are confident, resilient and perform with the highest quality and efficiency. I have over 8 years experience leading international cross-functional teams of up to 25 people across 5 continents. I’m a strong communicator and enjoy breaking down complex requirements into easily understood terms for all knowledge levels - whether it be in 1:1 conversations or presenting at a global conference.I’ve been part of international working groups to develop policies and standards. I’ve led efforts to develop and implement new procedures and launch services across 100+ countries.I know how to balance technical needs with business operations, mentoring teams of both technical specialists and system generalists to ensure efficient systems are designed to meet service requirements.I am a problem-solver with a history of leading successful resolution of stakeholder complaints and client appeals.I embrace change and progress, having experience with multiple integrations of systems and teams, launching new services and tools, and operating under external standards that are regularly revised and interpreted.I enjoy traveling and have had the opportunity to visit 20+ countries. By far, the most rewarding part is learning about new cultures and forming lasting relationships despite language and cultural barriers. In 2021, I made the big decision to try something outside of my comfort zone when my partner, Rob Pitone and I had the opportunity to purchase the small business where he was employed. We are now the proud owners & operators of Amalgamated Culture Works - a screen printing shop that\'s been around since 1981. It\'s been a change of pace and amazing opportunity to be part of the vibrant south end arts district and Burlington\'s small business community.

   Co-Owner and Business Manager of Amalgamated Culture Works (ACW), a long-standing screen print shop in Burlington, Vermont’s South End Arts District. After acquiring the business at the end of 2021 with her husband, Rob Pitone, Tammy oversees the administrative and strategic operations of the shop, ensuring exceptional customer service and sustainable business practices.Key Responsibilities:Business Operations & Finance: Manage the company’s financial health, including budgeting, payroll, and procurement.Strategic Growth: Develop and maintain partnerships with independent sales reps and wholesale clients, including campgrounds, beaches, and resorts across Vermont, New England, Florida, and the Caribbean.Team Leadership: Oversee a cross-functional team of office staff and print shop artisans, fostering a culture of \"love and community spirit\" within the shop.Customer Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for high-level accounts, ensuring that ACW’s reputation for \"second-to-none service\" is maintained across all custom orders.Marketing & Community Engagement: Manage the brand\'s presence in the local arts community and lead collaborative projects with local artists and organizations.Sustainability & Quality: Apply background expertise in environmental standards to ensure production methodologies align with high-quality and ethical standards.
