OpenDoor aims to bridge the gap between incarceration, and/or treatment for substance use disorder and the establishment of a long-term, sustainable, and healthy lifestyle. We achieve this by fostering meaningful connections with women during their most vulnerable moments. These women receive additional assistance from dedicated community volunteers who serve as advocates, mentors, and sources of emotional support. Women are referred to us from h.a.r.t, court, Maryhaven, Federal Probation of the Southern District of Ohio, Hilliard Recovery Court, and Basecamp Recovery Center. Relationships transform lives. OpenDoor transforms lives.

ABOUT TAMMY ADLER FOELLER

I am one of the founders of OpenDoor Women\'s Recovery Alliance. Our mission is to close the gap between incarceration, treatment, and/or diversion programs and sustainable recovery for women who have suffered with substance use disorder. We are primarily run by volunteers who are dedicated to helping our community heal from the devastation of the opioid epidemic. OpenDoor has partnered with Governor DeWine\'s initiative -Ohio Opioid Education Alliance in hopes of helping to break the stigma and allow for all people to be treated with dignity and respect. OpenDoor has partnered with - h.a.r.t- helping achieve recovery together, CATCH Court, Federal Probation of the Southern District of Ohio, Basecamp Recovery Center, Hilliard Recovery Court, MARYHAVEN and Mommies Matter to provide support, friendship, and resources which have been barriers preventing long term sobriety previously. Relationships change lives. We enter into a dependable, honest, caring relationship with each woman referred to us and we are transforming lives. We are pleased to say that 100% of our participants- volunteers and women in recovery- have experienced some level of transformation and their lives have been changed by being a part of OpenDoor. For those considering a meaningful way to volunteer, consider joining us! It will be challenging and rewarding all at the same time. I am proud of all of our accomplishments in such a short time.
