ABOUT TAMIKA TATE

Tamika is a devoted mom and professional who currently serves as Capacity Infrastructure Engineering TPM with Google. She recently transitioned from GFiber as the Regional MxU Eng TPgM and Quality Manager. Her proven track record of success with a multidisciplinary background coupled with her ability to remain nimble in high pressure, dynamic, complex environments has propelled her professional growth in the fiber, telecom, ops, and engineering. Prior to her tenure with GFiber, Tamika served as a Senior Engineering TPgM with Verizon migrating existing customers from leased fiber to Verizon owned fiber navigating strategic partnerships across diverse technical disciplines leading high profile projects. She is highly energetic with a can do attitude and proven results-oriented track record. Tamika is exceptionally performance driven with strong planning and communication skills. During her tenure as a Field Operations Supervisor in Wireline Operations for the Charlotte Metro areas in NC, Knoxville, TN, and South Carolina she led a team of field engineers who worked cross functionally to support, manage, and maintain the reliability of the network. They worked 24/7 to keep customers connected to the world.Tamika spent 7 years as a people leader with Verizon Consumer Group where she discovered her affinity to rally diverse teams towards a common goal. She is driven to cultivate a workplace where employees feel inspired, valued, and thrive from equitable and diverse opportunities.Tamika enjoys volunteering with programs like Built by Girls, HBCU Connector, WOW, Verizon Mentorships, Black Girls Code, Verizon Innovative Learning, Career Development expos across channels, and ERGs to promote careers in STEM.Tamika has obtained multiple degrees along with her MBA and PMP.
