About Tamika Tate

Tamika is a proud supermom of four girls who currently serves as a national Technology Prog/Proj Manager with Engineering in GN & T for YoDA(Telco Migrations). She focuses on supporting the South Region as they lead the nation in cost savings migrating existing customers from leased fiber to Verizon owned fiber through collaboration across access planning, outside and inside plant engineering teams, building access groups, vendors, carrier management, field operations, and leadership. Tamika utilizes her extensive experience working with cross-functional teams to complete complex, high profile, challenging projects. She is highly energetic with a can do attitude and proven results-oriented track record. Tamika is a high achiever with strong planning and communication skills. Tamika previously served as the Field Operations Supervisor in Wireline Operations for the Charlotte Metro areas in NC, Knoxville, TN, and South Carolina for 3 years. She led a team of field engineers who worked cross functionally to support, manage, and maintain the reliability of our network.(Transport, BNE, Managed Services, etc.) She worked with PM groups in 5G, IEN, UT, AU, CPE and etc. to triage, maintain, and build out our network. They worked 24/7 to keep our customers connected to the world. Tamika was recruited to the Retail Leadership Development program in 2011. Upon graduating from the program she spent 7 years as a people leader with Verizon Consumer Group. She possesses a strong background in effective communication, customer service, operations, project management, wireless solutions, and, business sales. She is a process oriented people leader who loves to rally diverse teams towards a common goal. She is driven to cultivate a workplace where employees feel inspired, valued, and thrive from equitable and diverse opportunities. Tamika enjoys volunteering with programs like Built by Girls, HBCU Connector, WOW, Verizon Mentorships, Black Girls Code, Verizon Innovative Learning, Career Development expos across channels, and ERGs to promote careers in STEM and diversity inclusion. Tamika has obtained her Bachelors in Business Management and is currently pursuing her MBA with the PMP Certification. She has also obtained project management certifications in Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Design Thinking, and VLSS to expand her discipline as a transformation champion.
