MediBid, Inc. was founded in 2010 as a free market solution to healthcare and healthcare finance by bringing competition to the healthcare marketplace. Most marketplaces thrive with transparency and competition, and we believe that a lack of transparency in medical care has resulted in higher prices. Most of the time the cost of medical care is determined after the care is received, and you can’t negotiate prices properly because there is no way to give back the medical care if you’re unhappy with the price. We believe this inability to negotiate is why health care is now the single largest component of the American economy. We believe the only solution is to get the price in advance, and shop for care based on value in medicine.In this capacity, and because I have been a Registered Nurse for the past 28 years, I function as a patient advocate for individuals, employer groups, and health cost sharing associations and their members in locating Direct Primary Care/Cash-Pay providers. We have a presence in twelve countries. MediBid\'s online portal allows you to seek healthcare services around the world and I also assist in filling those \"bid requests\".In my capacity in Business Development, I am a consultant for employer groups and physicians/providers in assessing and auditing their employee benefits plans. With Defined Reimbursement Health Plans, MediBid bypasses expensive insurance networks, and increases choices while decreasing costs. The average MediBid prices is less than half of the insurance discounted price and usually comes with lower deductibles. I have extensive experience in healthcare finance in the insurance industry and with Medicare/Medicaid as well as being an independent agent for several insurance companies in the past.We also work with and support physicians/providers in their capacity as Direct Primary Care Providers. Physicians are able to bid on employer sponsored health plans and direct pay individuals on a global or individual basis.
