About Tamer Aboushwareb
I\'m a fully trained urologist from Egypt. I obtained my Medical degree from Ain Shams University in 1994. I then obtained my Masters degree in urology in 1998 followed by my PhD in 2007. I worked as an instructor then an Assistant professor of Regenerative medicine and Urology at Wake Forest institute for Regenerative medicine and the urology department from 2007 till April of 2012. Following my time at Wake Forest, I was a consultant for Tengion Inc, a biotech startup company working on commercialization of Bladder and kidney regenerated products. My role with Tengion was to advice the research team on the clinical relevance and best practices in the urologic field while assisting them produce a product that is highly desirable and attainable to the field at large. After my tenure at Tengion, i joined Allergan inc. as a Medical Science manager (MSL) and recently have been promoted to a Sr. Medical Science manager in the urology therapeutic area. In my current position, i\'m responsible for establishing and maintaining relevant relationships with thought leaders in the field of our products and continue to connect them and our company at the highest level of information and education. I\'m also responsible for scientific communications with said thought leaders and the physician community at large in order to maintain the highest level of unbiased scientific and clinical data available to them. During my tenure at Allergan, i have grown my scientific and clinical network exponentially and have established and maintained relationships with numerous thought leaders throughout the urology specialty.
