About Tamara Rice Himmelstein
With over 20 years of experience in higher education, I am passionate about creating and sustaining opportunities for students to pursue and excel in STEM fields. As a Major Gifts Officer at Harvey Mudd College, I work with alumni and families to build philanthropic support and life-changing moments for current and future Mudders, who are the next generation of problem solvers and innovators.I have a proven track record of developing and implementing successful fundraising strategies, programs, and events that engage and inspire donors and stakeholders. I have a Certificate in Fundraising Management from Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, and I have contributed to publications on storytelling in fundraising. I also have extensive experience in student programming and engagement, having led various initiatives and departments at Occidental College and Purdue University. I am motivated by the mission and vision of Harvey Mudd, and I am honored and thrilled to be part of the Advancement team.
