ABOUT TAMARA TSCHENTSCHER
I have an unquenchable passion for protecting the environment, especially when it comes to wildlife conservation. I pride myself on being adaptable and versatile like a chameleon, allowing me to take on various tasks to ensure the success of project activities. Whether it\'s coordinating activity implementation with partners, managing content production processes, crafting engaging knowledge and communication pieces such as stories, brochures, reports, and case studies, or organising international multi-stakeholder events, I strive to contribute in every way I can. My creative flair is instrumental in overseeing and directing captivating video productions and campaigns that inspire change and awareness in the hearts of viewers, and I enjoy capturing meaningful photographs of nature, people, and events. While my graphic design skills may be at a basic to intermediate level, I am able to create simple and visually appealing elements and layouts that help convey messages effectively. In my present role as a KM & Communications officer, I have been on a project that aims to tackle the illegal wildlife trade between Africa and Asia exploiting cargo transport supply chains, particularly at sea and dry ports. This experience has allowed me to dive deep into the issue, understand the complexities and stakeholder landscape, and work closely with law enforcement agencies, private sector partners, non-profit institutions, and multi-stakeholder groups. Through this work, I gained invaluable insights and technical know-how to combat wildlife and other transnational organized crime. As I aim to remain dedicated to countering the illegal wildlife trade, I recently completed environmental and financial crimes investigations graduate certificate courses to further expand my expertise and responsibilities in this field. I stand ready to embrace new challenges and I\'m excited to contribute my skills, expertise, and enthusiasm to protect and preserve our precious environment, biodiversity and wildlife for generations to come.
