    Project coordinator responsible for overseeing the preparation, editing, and production of all literary manuscripts.Under this role, several editing positions and responsibilities are assumed, including:Acquisitions editor - Find new authors and promote writers that will be profitable for the publisher. Suggests plot-level changes to bring the story in line with the publisher’s vision for the product line.Developmental editor - Helps the author develop a book from idea, outline, or initial draft. Ensures the book will meet the needs of the publisher and its readers while working with the author through any number of drafts.Copy/manuscript editor - Guarantees that the manuscript meets in-house style standards while correcting spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Verifies facts and suggests variations in verbiage. Double checks headings, statistics, data in graphs, and footnote entries.
