ABOUT TAMARA L. SIDERS

I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a credential awarded by the National Board for Certified Counselors (Board-Certified). I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor in the State of SC that has been working with children and their families in the clinic, home, school and community settings for more than 13 years. As a counselor, I have specialized knowledge and experience in the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, ODD, PTSD, RAD, Trauma, and various mood disorders. I also have extensive training and clinical experience in the treatment of sexualized behavior problems and juvenile offending. In addition to licensure and experience, I am a certified and experienced TF-CBT therapist and am currently pursuing a trauma specialist certification. I am also a certified UCLA PEERS clinician, which is world renowned evidenced based-social skills treatment program for preschoolers, adolescents, and young adults with autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, anxiety, depression, and other socio-emotional problems. I am also certified to complete CALOCUS-CASII assessments for children ages 6-18. I have also completed the certified behavior analysis program at Clemson University and have gained more than 1500 direct clinical care hours implementing behavioral management and ABA strategies to patients in our programs. For the past 12 years, I have served in various roles at Carolina Family Services expanding my knowledge of mental health, counseling treatment, health care administration and leadership. However, I currently serve as the Clinical Director where I am responsible for the daily operations, direct patient care delivery, and compliance standards of our Outpatient Counseling, Rehabilitative Behavioral Health Services, Pediatrics and Medication Management, and School Based therapy Programs. Additionally, I have worked to expand our community outreach program, which provides food assistance, school readiness support and other initiatives to counteract the culture of poverty impacting those we serve. I am passionate about those in our community and just hope to make our corner of the world a better place.
