ABOUT TAMARA CONAN

With over a decade of experience in the non-profit sector, I am passionate about creating meaningful experiences that foster connection, engagement, and philanthropic impact. My career journey has been defined by a commitment to purpose-driven work—bringing people together to advance important causes and create lasting change. As the Director of Advancement Events within the Office of Development-Operations at Saint Joseph\'s University, I lead the strategic planning and execution of high-profile events that strengthen alumni engagement, cultivate donor relationships, and support the university’s mission. From large-scale fundraising initiatives and presidential engagements to donor celebrations and community-centered programs, I work to deliver experiences that inspire and drive long-term support. I am proud to lead and mentor an incredible dedicated events team, collaborating closely with campus partners and external vendors to deliver exceptional experiences.Prior to joining Saint Joseph’s, I served as Vice President of Healthy Kids Running Series, where I played a key role in the organization’s growth—from its beginnings in just 12 towns to more than 300 communities nationwide, reaching approximately participants annually. I led strategic initiatives to expand access in underserved areas, developed inclusive programming for youth of all abilities, and managed a national sponsorship portfolio that included partners such as New Balance, Lidl, Giant, Stride Rite, and Musselman’s. In addition, I drove brand growth through targeted social media and public relations efforts. This work not only promoted youth health and wellness, but also strengthened community connections through inclusive and impactful programming. My work is fueled by a deep belief in the power of community and the impact of philanthropy—and I’m committed to fostering relationships that drive positive, transformative change.Let’s connect and collaborate!\"The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do\" Steve Jobs
