Triaging phone calls and providing support and counseling to clients, families, and community referrals in need of Crisis Team assistance and/or evaluations.• Assisting clinicians in performing bed searches for clients awaiting hospitalization, partial hospitalization. • Providing information and referrals to phone contacts.• Displaying good judgment in gathering appropriate risk information and direct clients, families, and community members in accessing and utilizing supports.• Assisting in provision of follow-up treatment including the scheduling of follow-up emergency services appointments and completion of paperwork related to triage activity.• Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with hospital ED’s, police departments and other community providers. • Performing daily tasks as they pertain to ESP’s quality indicators. • Promptly notifying supervisory staff when barriers arise with clients boarding for a higher level of care. • Asserting myself when necessary to ensure ESP is following best practices and our community quality initiatives. • Maintaining professional and therapeutic communication while working with agitated or distressed clients. • Performing other duties/ projects as assigned.
