Developed the first comprehensive design system by leveraging existing marketing assets and establishing foundational tokens and components, which improved the scalability and consistency of design outputs and streamlined development- Crafted key user pages, including Pet Profile, Wishlist, and Cart to Checkout flow, enhancing user experience while aligning with the refreshed site branding and initiating several redesign efforts- Redesigned the entire website in Figma in alignment with new branding during an 8-month long replatforming collaboration (from Oracle to Commerce Tools) with Deloitte, resulting in a seamless handoff of a modernized, brand aligned, online user experience- Awarded Employee of the Month within 4 months for significant impact on UX design and fostering enhanced interdepartmental teamwork- Established UX best practices and standards by collaborating with developers, mentoring content designers, and drafting a design systems manual which improved cross-functional alignment and the quality of deliverables- Initiated closer collaboration with the dev team by introducing design open-hours and leading Figma/Dev Mode intro sessions, which empowered developers to fully utilize platform capabilities, ultimately saving time and reducing resource expenditure- Mentored the marketing design team on UX principles and practices, enhancing their approach to design for online experience and integrating UX thinking into marketing initiatives- Served as the key liaison (nicknamed “the glue”) between Marketing and eComm teams, bridging communication gaps and ensuring cohesive project execution- Established strong collaboration and workflows between UX, Marketing, and the Content Deployment team, which improved project efficiency and enhanced interdepartmental communication- Revamped the purchase flow emails to enhance user experience and increase engagement rates, leading to improved customer retention.

ABOUT TAMAR LEVY
My new bio is under construction - here are a few fun facts about me for now: After graduating high school, I served in the navy for two years. This experience helped shape my confidence under pressure, organizational skills, and ability to think on my feet. In 2014 I moved to Australia on a working holiday visa and spent 6 months working on a banana farm I\'ve always been fascinated with Latin culture. I grew up with Argentinians, spent eight months backpacking through South America, took Spanish courses for all my electives in uni, and am currently learning bachata and salsa I stumbled onto UX design during my marketing undergrad studies at Ryerson University. I signed up for a mini-boot camp that was falsely marketed as a graphic design class and was hooked immediately. I’m a strong believer that designers should expose themselves to more business courses. My business background has been a huge asset to me in my design journey, as it influences and informs many of my decisions. When I\'m not designing, my creative outlet is in the kitchen. I can spend hours scrolling through food blogs and cookbooks and love nothing more than bringing people together for a great meal Don\'t be shy, say hi!
