About Tamanna Nabar

My passion for design started as a child when I made elaborate birthday cards for my family. Over time, these cards evolved into 3D functional dynamic shows consisting of multiple moving components with an element of surprise and marvel. I discovered my love for both mechanisms and art to create magic. I wanted to translate that passion into creating impactful and clever products that truly connect with the user. So I decided to pursue mechanical engineering with a minor in design.During my education at Cornell University, I was amazed at the ideas you can create when you merge art and functionality. As an innovation engineer in the industry, I have worked in various upcoming fields of innovation like sustainable design, generative design, additive manufacturing, and iterative optimization to turn my concepts into reality using empathetic design principles. I currently work at Yanfeng Automotive Interiors to create novel products and introduce valuable process improvements in the automotive industry.I am grateful for the opportunity to continuously learn, experiment and have a new, unique challenge to solve every day.    Designing mechanical parts and assemblies for our drone, ground stations, and other key accessories from the ground-up as part of new architectures. Defining and executing engineering tests and utilizing analysis to evaluate system trade-offs and prove your design. Driving designs throughout the development cycle from prototyping to pre-production and into mass production. Supporting our internal manufacturing and factory teams with assembly processes, quality and inspection criteria, etc.
