ABOUT TAMAN AZAD

At the present:I am actively looking for opportunities in marketing and analytics, ideally roles where I can use both creative strategies and data skills to make an impact.My Story:Hi there! I’m Taman, and if you had told me in my first year of college that I would be diving into the world of marketing, I probably wouldn’t have believed you.When I first set foot on Beloit College’s campus as an international student, my path seemed clear: study Computer Science, dive into tech, and see where it takes me. But a twist of fate (thanks to a liberal arts curriculum!) landed me in a marketing class taught by Matt Laszlo (former SVP and Chief Customer Officer @Clorox), and it completely flipped the script for me. The summer following my freshman year, I struggled to bag an internship and returned home (over the break) feeling like I had missed out. So, I started creating LinkedIn content aimed at international students like me, sharing insights, struggles, and tips on juggling college life far from home. Before I knew it, these posts were gaining traction, and they even landed me my first internship as a Social Media Marketing Intern at Adro (a fintech startup catering to international students).Today, my passion for marketing has only grown. I serve as the President of the Beloit Marketing Club (which I co-founded), where we work with real-world clients, organize competitions, host events and help each other build industry-ready skills. I’m also a Content Creator and Social Media Assistant for Beloit College’s Office of Communications and Marketing, where I get to put my passion for storytelling (and Beloit pride) to work.Beyond all things marketing, I am a die-hard Batman fan, a Christopher Nolan enthusiast, and an experimental cook.
