ABOUT TYLER MCQUILLAN
Currently, I serve as in-house counsel for an early-stage, optogenetics-focused biotechnology company. I run point on the company’s legal matters, serving as a trusted advisor to the executive team. I also support the company’s operations, finance and pre-clinical / clinical functions where they overlap with the legal world. Previously, I worked in law firms advising venture capital investors and the life science and technology businesses they funded. I primarily handled venture capital transactions for corporate venture arms and traditional venture funds, technology and commercial transactions and general startup company matters. I also supported M&A transactions and venture capital investment fund matters. Outside of my work, I enjoy being frustrated with my golf game, becoming unnecessarily invested in Love Island contestants’ relationships and following the daily column of Matt Levine.
