ABOUT TALLEY HENNING BROWN

As a 27-year editor and writer, I specialize in biomedical science writing and editing for lay and professional audiences. My experience spans the commercial, nonprofit, and academic sectors, within which I have honed extensive expertise as a medical and regulatory consultant, editorial leader, patient journey– and behavior–insights lead, and copy chief. In the commercial sector, my experience lies in building relationships with medical–legal–regulatory (MLR) review teams in pharmaceutical marketing; leading research efforts into patient experience and behavioral economics that directly inform strategy development; medical editing of pharmaceutical promotional and unbranded communications; and leading large teams through complex product launches and label updates. I have worked extensively in HCC and HCP communications and also have experience with payer communications. I have worked across a broad array of therapeutic areas including oncology/hematology, diabetes (types 1 and 2), hepatitis C, autoimmune, obesity, cardiovascular, neurological, infectious disease, rare disease, and medical devices. In the nonprofit and academic sectors, I specialize in science writing for lay audiences as well as government relations, patient advocacy, and development writing. I am experienced at producing clean, lively, polished copy for various audiences and purposes and at editing large volumes of detailed copy for accuracy, brand consistency, grammar, style, audience perspective, and science/health literacy. My golden rule that has enabled me to write successfully across so many contexts: audience first, audience last, audience always.
