ABOUT TALIA DUBOVI
Senior leader with extensive experience in the non-profit, research, public policy, and government sectors. Across all of my leadership roles, I’ve served as a tactical advisor driving the execution of strategic projects. I am the person who takes a vision or strategic plan and figures out how to get it done. I enjoy the collaborative brainstorming process that makes ideas stronger. I love leading teams that solve problems around how to implement a strategic plan. I grew up in a family that was always focused on advocating for others who may not have a voice. I bring that belief to work by creating a diverse and inclusive culture. I am passionate about mentoring others. I find it personally fulfilling to talk with staff about their career goals to help them succeed. I am also not afraid to give honest and transparent feedback to help individuals and teams improve performance and accomplish goals. Key Accomplishments- Led Humanity in Action’s post-founder transition, which included implementing a major board-level governance reform process; updating strategies for programming, communications, and fundraising; shifting organizational culture around international collaboration; and creating new systems and processes to support staff well-being and organizational stability- Designed and executed CSIS’s first diversity and inclusion program, which fostered an inclusive and equitable workplace culture through new interactive employee engagement activities and organizational policy changes- Served as a key leader during the reorganization of CSIS’s External Relations department, acting as a mentor for reporting directors to navigate success in the new operating model- Acted in chief of staff volunteer role for 500-person foreign policy volunteer team for a presidential campaign, overseeing personnel and administrative activities to formalize processes and a team to support volunteer recruitment and communications.
