The Cultivated B Canada (TCB CAN) is a subsidiary of the German-based company, focusing on scalable alternative protein production and cellular agriculture technologies. The company works closely together with economic and governmental institutions of the Canadian cellular agriculture landscape. The goal is to enable future protein markets through development and utilization of high-quality bioengineering technologies. TCB is running its R&D center in Germany and manufacturing facility in Canada to drive forward economic development. It is a Startup Manufacturing and Research & Innovation Hub in biotechnology business. Duties include- As the Finance Manager at a dynamic Biotechnology startup, I have played a pivotal role in shaping the financial infrastructure from its inception- My responsibilities spanned from spearheading the comprehensive ERP implementation process, right from ERP vendor selection to execution- In this groundbreaking startup venture, I became the inaugural member of the finance department, entrusted with constructing the financial team and developing robust financial reporting mechanisms- My daily tasks encompass intricate intercompany accounting, consolidation, and elimination within the framework of three distinct but interrelated startup companies. These entities encompass bioreactor manufacturing, an innovation and research hub, and the overarching holding company, each adding a unique dimension to the dynamic financial landscape of this exciting startup- Additionally, I have been instrumental in managing cash flow, overseeing the handling of the initial substantial investments, and maintaining transparent reporting channels with our head office in Germany.
