As the Associate Executive Director of Community Services at Queens Community House, I have had the privilege of leading a division of over 10 programs with an operating budget of over $6M. Through constant feedback and data analyzation, I have been able to drive quality improvement across a diverse portfolio. I have created avenues for strategic growth, including incorporating new funding sources to build program capacity and provide contract oversight while building relationships with private funders, city and state government agencies, and community partners. I have helped strengthen agency culture through my leadership style and my participation in agency-wide initiatives. I am also serving on the agency’s DEI committee in an effort to help increase awareness and intentionality around racial equity, emphasizing diverse teams as a critical component of community-oriented work.
