About Takira Morrison
I have experience in the pharmacy field starting as a pharmacy technician with Rite Aid then Walgreens and progressing to a pharmacy intern, graduate intern, and resident pharmacist at Walgreens. I earned my Doctor of Pharmacy degree from High Point University, where I was involved in several professional and student organizations, and received scholarships and awards for my academic and leadership achievements. I then went on to complete at postgraduate year one community-based pharmacy residency with Campbell University in cooperation with Walgreens Co. As a resident pharmacist at Walgreens, I provided specialty pharmacy services to patients with complex and chronic conditions. I provided chronic disease management as an ambulatory care resident at Benson Health as well.Currently, I provide chronic disease management at Piedmont Pharmaceutical Care Network with a focus on diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and medical weight management. I also work part-time as a pharmacist for Walgreens community pharmacies in North Carolina.
