In preparation for life after football, Spikes began his broadcasting career with national appearances on television and radio while still a player. This past football season, Spikes served as the color commentator on ACC Network/Raycom’s coverage of six games: Wake Forest vs. Army; Wake Forest vs. Syracuse; Georgia Tech vs. Virginia; University of North Carolina vs. James Madison; Pittsburgh vs. Marshall; and Pittsburgh vs. Virginia Tech. In addition, he provided color commentary for Fox Sports South’s broadcast of the Southern Heritage Classic and was an analyst for ESPN3.Previously, Spikes was an analyst for SiriusXM’s NFL Radio, a guest studio analyst for ESPN’s NFL coverage, and appeared on numerous television and radio broadcasts, including CBS Sunday Morning, Showtime’s The Jim Rome Show, NBC Sports Network’s Pro Football Talk, among many, many others.
