I’m based within the community and it is an honour for me to be able to treat people in their homes and other primary care settings. My duties include wound care, pressure area care, diabetic care, elderly care, palliative care, administration of medications, safeguarding, holistic care, intervention and prevention assessment and pathways. I support patients and their families during times of adversity. I am also the dementia link nurse on my team. I make necessary referrals to a wider MDT and escalate patients should they require advanced or emergency treatment. I care, I respect and I listen. I live and breathe nursing. I love my job and I feel privileged to be able to be there for people when they need it most.
