Experienced business manager, editor, journalist and public speaker. Global emerging markets expert. As chief executive of LatinFinance, the leading global source of intelligence on the financial markets and economies of Latin America and the Caribbean, I run a multi-platform news media company with full responsibility for our digital, print and events businesses. I am also a director of LatinFinance’s board, a position I have held since 2017, when I led a group of investors in the acquisition of LatinFinance.Prior to becoming an entrepreneur and business manager, I had 15 years’ experience as an editor and journalist (print, digital and broadcast) covering international economics and finance, with a focus on the global emerging markets. I took over as LatinFinance’s CEO in 2014, following two years as the group’s editor-in-chief, with overall responsibility for all editorial content, including the magazine, website and daily news service, as well as regional and international conferences and events.I am also a regular speaker on emerging markets finance, policy and investment topics. As a journalist, my areas of coverage included: macroeconomics, economic policy, political economy, central banking, international financial institutions, capital markets (debt, equity, currencies), sovereign/political risk, capital flows / portfolio investment, infrastructure finance, regulation, investment banking, corporate finance.
