About Tailynn McCarty
Hi! My name is Tailynn (tie-lynn). At the end of every experiment, every model, and every process optimization, there is a patient waiting on the other side of that result. That belief has shaped every decision I\'ve made in my career.I\'m a translational scientist with a PhD in Biomedical Engineering (NSF GRFP Fellow) and a background that spans wet lab research, clinical-stage manufacturing, and data science. But more than any title or technique, what drives me is the conviction that science only fully earns its place when it connects back to the people it was meant to help, developing real answers for patients who are waiting for them.My career has taken me from engineering tissue scaffolds and optimizing EV production pipelines, to cGMP manufacturing, to building machine learning models on clinical patient data. Those experiences look different on paper but they\'ve always pointed toward understanding what is driving disease precisely enough to do something meaningful about it. I work in R, Python, and SQL, and I\'ve spent my career learning to speak the language of whatever room I\'m in. But the conversation I care most about having is the one that keeps patients at the center of the science. If that resonates with you, I\'d love to connect. When I’m not at the bench or coding, I’m making mountable flower arangements and sculpted art.
