As a ULA for UCF’s foundational C programming course for engineers, Engineering Analysis and Computation (EGN3211), I support over 150 students in mastering core computing concepts through collaborative learning and targeted guidance. Student Support & Mentorship- Leading 3+ weekly help sessions focused on debugging strategies, consistent syntax, and pointer logic — boosting student confidence and assignment completion rates- Hosting open office hours for students weekly, fostering a welcoming environment for peer collaboration and conceptual deep dives- Providing individualized support during appointment times, helping students navigate complex syntax and logic errors. Curriculum Enrichment- Designing and distributing comprehensive study guides covering compiling, syntax, and pointers, streamlining exam prep and reducing common misconceptions- Curating supplemental walkthrough videos and annotated code examples based on recurring student challenges, improving retention and engagement.🧠 Communication & Leadership- Translating technical concepts into digestible explanations for diverse learners, bridging gaps between theory and implementation- Collaborating with faculty to refine teaching strategies and share insights from student interactions.This role is sharpening my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, mentor effectively, and foster inclusive learning spaces — all while deepening my own understanding of low-level programming and systems thinking.
