About Tahmid Hasan Oni

I\'m a Mechanical Engineering Ph.D. Student at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). My research focuses on understanding and predicting the performance and durability of fiber-reinforced composites through Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) and Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE).A cornerstone of my expertise lies in nanoscale characterization, particularly with Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM). I have extensive experience in various AFM modes to uncover critical material properties at the nanoscale. Beyond AFM, my capabilities span Advanced dielectric characterization for non-destructive assessment, Thermal characterization, Microstructural analysis (X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, FTIR), and a range of mechanical testing. I also integrate Multi-physical modeling and Physics-informed machine learning to build robust predictive frameworks for structural health monitoring. Before my doctoral studies, I also served as a Lecturer in the Mechanical Engineering Department at a renowned university in Bangladesh.
