I\'m researching and developing high-specific energy and high-power lithium-ion cells using various methods but most interestingly high-silicon anode electrodes. High-silicon content anodes have many advantages over graphite-dominant anodes found in most devices and vehicles today, in terms of energy density and rate capability (eg. fast charge). On the other hand, the technology using high-silicon content anodes is limited and the biggest bottleneck is to upscale and manufacture large volumes of these powerful cells - which is where I come in as a process engineer in my Product Development team!
