About Taheer Ty Dattaray
I have a history in full-cycle accounting and have been responsible for handling and maintaining entire processes concurrently, and oftentimes, solo (A/P, A/R, Payroll, Cost Accounting, Forecasting, Cash Flow/Budgeting, FS Prep/Audits, System Implementations). I have also undertaken large general ledger clean up operations by fixing historical bank account reconciliations; proposing adjustments to the financial statements; creating a new Chart of Accounts that more closely reflects company operations. But beyond that, I feel my true value runs deeper and lies within process efficiency, system integrations, and database management.\"Kaizen\" is a Japanese business term, first coined in relation to lean manufacturing (as seen in Toyota at the time), which translates to \"Continuous Improvement\". I see everything from an internal control standpoint (COSO framework) with the goal being to improve efficiency in operations; boost worker productivity; improve accuracy/timeliness of data; and creating safeguards to prevent errors/fraud. I analyze how data and information flow amongst personnel and databases to pinpoint areas of risk and inefficiencies and then weigh the solutions (cost vs. benefit) to create an optimal and repeatable path until a more optimal path is available. Database management and creating consistency in formats for system integrations is also enjoyable for me and I like using AI, advanced Excel (VBA coding), and data manipulation to create custom reports and automate wherever possible.
