ABOUT TAHA MUGHAL
A mid-career professional in the field of Heritage Conservation. I was a Charles Wallace Scholar at the University of Cambridge (2021-22) and a Fulbright Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania (2022-23) where I earned my M.Phil in Heritage Studies; and Masters of Science in Design (Historic Preservation) respectively. My practice intersects art, architecture, and conservation. I use architectural design and research to explore the intersection of politics, heritage, memory, and social justice. I am currently a Research Associate on a project \" Documentation of Islamic Epigraphy in Early Modern Kashmir\" funded by The Barakat Trust, UK in partnership with IUST, Awantipora, India. Previously, I have worked as a Research Assistant for the Centre for the Preservation of Civil Rights Sites, at the University of Pennsylvania in the United States. My past architectural, research, and teaching roles have been at the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH), Prince Claus Fund, Netherlands; National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), India among others.
