View department →

Ottawa, ON, CA

As a member of the technical committee I work on improving accessibility within existing buildings with a focus on childcare centres. My role involves supporting the creation of clear and practical recommendations that help remove barriers and make early learning spaces more welcoming and inclusive for everyone. This includes reviewing how current infrastructure can be adapted to meet accessibility needs from entrances and interior design to washrooms and outdoor areas. I work alongside experts to ensure that these standards promote equal access reflect the realities of older buildings and align with accessibility goals across Canadian communities
