I was the Project manager of a UK-China antimicrobial resistance (AMR) project. The project title was “Development of innovative premixes for animal feed based on Chinese herbs for the replacement of extensively used antibiotics and hormones”. This is a part of bilateral R&D projects between the UK and China which address the growing threat of antimicrobial resistance. In the UK, the department of health working in collaboration with Innovate UK is investing £10 million of funding for the AMR.
