As the Head of AI & Digital Ethics Policy at AICC, I lead and guide our dynamic team in navigating the ethical complexities of AI. Positioned at the forefront of creating guidelines and policies that promote responsible AI usage, ensuring transparency, fairness, privacy, and accountability in AI systems. It\'s my role to help build business and public trust in AI technologies and the AICC.Empowering Northern Ireland from the ground-up, integrating ethical considerations into every stage of AI lifecycles. Ensuring every AI project not only meets technical requirements but achieves ethical permissibility- Leading the development and implementation of AI ethics guidelines and policies- Advising on ethical issues in AI design, implementation, and use- Collaborating with AI development teams to integrate ethical considerations into AI projects- Conducting training and workshops to raise awareness about AI ethics- Staying abreast of emerging trends, laws, and regulations in AI ethics.The AICC is being led by Ulster University (UU) in partnership with Queen’s University Belfast (QUB) with bases at the UU Belfast and Derry/Londonderry campuses and at QUB. The project is funded by Invest Northern Ireland and the Department for the Economy.
