I recently transitioned from leading a multifunctional group of scientists to managing a multiproject portfolio in the antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) space. In collaboration with project partners from oncology, I now lead the molecule-focused aspects of ADC projects, from early concept development, through antibody discovery and engineering, to the initiation of development.Previously, I led a team of scientists specializing in antibody discovery via phage display, mAb optimization through variable region engineering, as well as V region sequence recovery and analysis. In addition to my role as a functional leader, I served as the NBE lead for a portfolio program focused on bispecific antibodies in the Cancer Research area. A significant portion of my efforts was dedicated to driving operational coherence and implementing process improvements within Biotherapeutics Discovery. I co-led departmental initiatives aimed at streamlining antibody discovery, engineering, and characterization workflows by fostering seamless transitions, enhancing transparency, ensuring timely information exchange, and establishing effective feedback loops.As a member of the Discovery Research in-licensing team, I was responsible for conducting due diligence on antibody drug candidates entering the Immunology and Respiratory Therapeutic areas.
