ABOUT TABITHA O.
As a PhD candidate at the University of South Carolina’s School of Journalism and Mass Communications, I am passionate about exploring the intersection of media, culture, emerging technologies and society. With an educational background in history and international studies; and professional communication and leadership, as well as my work experience in public relations, I bring a unique perspective to my research, which focuses on the impact of digital media on social movements, the role of AI in public relations and critical cultural analysis of important discourses.I have honed my skills in social media, communications, public relations, marketing, and customer service through various roles and certifications. As a graduate research and teaching assistant, I contribute to the academic community by assisting with research projects, teaching, and academic writing. I am also a certified customer service representative and a Google Digital Marketing Fundamentals graduate. My goal is to leverage my knowledge and experience to make a positive difference in the world through effective communication and storytelling.
