About Tabitha Addy

I hold a Ph.D. in Public Health Promotion and Education from the University of Cincinnati. My research focuses on maternal and infant health, mental health, health disparities, and sexual health. With extensive experience in developing and implementing health promotion interventions, my goal is to improve health outcomes and tackle critical issues, such as anxiety management in young children.In addition, I earned a Master\'s degree in Social Work, specializing in families and children, through a unique international program that included the University Institute of Lisbon, University of Stavanger, and Gothenburg University. This diverse educational experience provided me with a broad, global perspective and the opportunity to intern with various organizations, enhancing my understanding of international social work practices and health promotion strategies.Professionally, I have coordinated client services at the International Justice Mission in Ghana, where I focused on rescuing and rehabilitating trafficked children. My background in social work has equipped me with a strong foundation in trauma-informed case management and participatory research methods. I am proficient in SPSS, NVIVO, and MAXQDA, which allows me to effectively analyze and interpret complex data.I have contributed to peer-reviewed publications and presented my research at conferences, sharing insights into the intersection of public health and social work. My overarching goal is to improve the well-being of underserved communities through targeted, evidence-based research and interventions. Drawing on my diverse expertise, I aim to develop and implement innovative solutions to address the unique health challenges these populations face.
