ABOUT TABATHA R.

Back in school I was always a fan of numbers but never in a million years thought I’d be an accountant. You wouldn’t believe it, I actually always thought I wanted to be an interior designer, but here I find myself in HR. Career paths can take you to creative new places. So, why HR you ask? The role was a mixture of finance and people which couldn’t be a better mix. Customer service and people relations is what I thrive on, but process optimisation feels engrained in my bones. Change is what we all go through at some point in our lives, its about how you adapt which really counts. On the journey to broadening my knowledge and skills I was given the opportunity to add recruitment to my string and bow. Recruitment has strong links to compensation so setting the strategy and being able to make tangible differences really does provide the feel good factor when improving diversity and inclusion. Management responsibilities is new to me and doesn’t go without its challenges. But I’m willing to adapt and learn to become the best leader and role model I can be. That’s all that counts, right? I think we all learn the most from mistakes we have made. So a little about me, being outside makes me feel free. From dog walks to road trips, you name it I love it. Frequently my spare time is spent exploring and learning.
