ABOUT TAARIQ SANYA
Taariq is currently a Lead Piping Field Engineer on the Elk Valley Resources Dry Creek Project in Elkford, leading a team of nine piping field engineers. Taariq helps to oversee approximately man-hours within the piping discipline, ensuring the team is properly supported with materials, cost tracking, quality, safety and look-ahead planning, while proactively identifying and resolving design issues. Taariq works closely with the client and the Engineer of Record to ensure the piping scope is executed as efficiently and effectively as possible. A key part of Taariq\'s role is developing and mentoring field engineers—providing training, technical guidance, and acting as a central knowledge resource to help them confidently navigate upcoming scope.Taariq bring a diverse range of experience across several disciplines, including civil and piping field engineering, pipe fabrication, and subcontractor management. In Taariq\'s previous role at the Imperial Oil - SHRED project, he managed pipe fabrication subcontractor operations for two contracts valued at approximately $12 million. Taariq\'s most recent experience prior to his current role involved overseeing piping and electrical field engineering tasks, as well as managing subcontractors for pipe insulation and coating for the Elk Valley Resources Line Creek module scope.
