Created a GraphQL developer tool that interfaces with PostgreSQL databases and outputs a GraphQL API to replace legacy RESTful APIs, allowing applications to eliminate under-fetching and over-fetching data through its strongly typed declarative queries-Designed Express middleware to iteratively canvas a user’s PostgreSQL database and execute performant custom algorithms on the response data to generate relevant schema and resolvers for the user’s GraphQL implementation-Leveraged AWS-SDK for JavaScript, implementing DynamoDB for seamless horizontal scalability, high availability through automatic traffic spreading over multiple servers, and fast performance when storing data inside of and accessing the AWS database-Constructed an interactive visualizer for PostgreSQL instance with React Flow, enabling users to navigate their tables, and providing clarity through an overview of the data’s structure and data model relationships-Utilized TypeScript to assert structure and type interfaces for codebase before runtime and employed its strongly typed compilation to ensure errors are discovered during development cycle minimizing the opportunity of errors to reach production phase-Built reusable React components to create a front-end connected through React Hooks, ensuring state is managed and shared for a responsive, dynamic user interface within the single-page application-Configured Webpack for ES6 transpilation for the generation of a minified and uglified bundle to increase front-end performance in production and optimized development environment through the usage of a Webpack development server-Reinforced test-driven development (TDD) using Jest, SuperTest, and Cypress by mocking the functionality of the application to ensure server routes and code-base is maintainable and functional throughout application lifecycle-Developed under tech accelerator OS Labs (opensourcelabs.io)
