Major contributions have been the complete turnaround of the flagship Pulp and Fibre business as Chief Marketing Officer (Fiber) and Chief Manufacturing Officer of Harihar one of the largest complexes in ABG in 2004, Head of Pulp Business in North America and Laos and India. Was instrumental in the first M&A of acquiring Chinese VSF Company in 2006. Set up the world’s finest textile, Research and Application Development Centre in Kharach (Gujarat) TRADC. This project was conc and executed looking at world’s best R&D complexes and today is regarded at the best globally. Managing a $1.2 billion portfolio of 3 business in Textiles for the Aditya Birla Group. This comprises of Domestic Textiles (India), Overseas Spinning (Indonesia – 3 plants, Thailand and Philippines) and Acrylic Fibre (Thailand and Egypt). It is a full P&L responsibility and work as a Director on almost 6 Boards. All companies are separate legal entities. Total manpower is 14,600, including 1400 management staff.
