In my legal practice, I assist primarily global companies in addressing complex regulatory issues and risk management involving state and federal agencies and entities including the Dept of Health and Human Services, the Department of Justice, Customs and Border Patrol, the FDA, the Dept. of Veterans Affairs, the U.S. Congress, among others. I also spend significant time defending hospital systems against allegations of False Claims, Stark law and Anti-kickback violations. My client engagements include litigation, government investigations, grand jury matters involving anti-bribery allegations, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act compliance in Africa,mergers & acquisitions, legislative and regulatory strategic advice, and regulatory compliance counseling. I also assist clients with intellectual property matters involving patent disputes.Specialties: Many of my clients are pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers. In addition to assisting with internal investigations of regulatory compliance lapses, I advise pharma clients on government drug pricing counseling in the areas of Medicaid Drug Rebate, Federal Supply Schedule/VA, and the 340B program. I also represent hospital systems and managed care companies with a wide variety of internal and external government investigations issues including Congressional investigations. I also have extensive experience litigating FCA/Stark Law False Claims Act matters, including the Halifax qui tam litigation in the Middle District of Florida. I have also been working with energy industry clients on global Oil & Gas-related infrastructure projects as well as U.S. defense contractors on global compliance best practices.I have also had the privilege of serving as a co-chair of the Winston & Strawn Racial Equity Task Force which was charged by our firm\'s senior leadership with the responsibility to recommend channels for the firm to have a more meaningful impact as an agent promoting racial equity in opportunity both within the firm and in our external communities.
