ABOUT T. ESTELLA NELSON
As a Social Impact Analyst, I use ESG frameworks, data-driven insights, and cross-sector partnerships to advance women’s empowerment, promote gender equality, and deliver measurable impact.My journey began in Liberia, where I founded and led a nonprofit and launched the country’s first women’s radio station. With 14 years in nonprofit leadership and social development, I’ve led UN-supported projects, co-authored policy papers on women’s economic participation, amplified women’s voices in public debates, and helped increase the representation of women journalists from 13% to 22%. Additionally, I ensured gender was one of the four central themes for the 2017 presidential debates and created space for women to influence these political exchanges.I’m currently deepening my expertise in ESG, gender, and social impact through the UN Global Compact Academy, driven by a passion for aligning profit with purpose to create a more equitable and sustainable future.
