With an extensive background in finance, my transition to the Assistant Director with the City of Raleigh from the private sector has been an opportunity to apply my expertise in strategic planning and employee development. My role involves steering our administration towards operational excellence, ensuring that our investments are tightly aligned with community goals, and enhancing customer experiences. Most recently, I’ve had the opportunity to experience operational management, which takes me away from the desk and puts me out in the field. Previously, as Director of IT Planning & Expense Management at MetLife, I utilized my certifications in Agile Project Leadership and Coaching for Results to lead initiatives in financial management for IT Infrastructure and Security. At the core of my professional ethos lies a commitment to fostering inclusive practices and mentoring the next generation of leaders, which is reflected in my contributions to the Women in STEM community and my dedication to nurturing women leaders in finance.
